LAKE PADDEN MENS CLUB Tournament Schedule for 2009 VERY IMPORTANT. PLEASE READ! Each entrant must be on the tournament sign-up sheet and entry fee paid to the Pro Shop by closing time on the Thursday prior to the tournament date. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! Each entrant must be a member in good standing to enter a Men’s Club tournament. All associate members please indicate your home course and provide your GHIN number. All tourneys will be from the White Tees with point-of-entry rule in effect, and winter or summer rules will be determined immediately prior to each event. 100% of your entry fee goes towards prizes.
In addition, $4,500 will be added to this year’s tourneys!!! "GET ACQUAINTED" March 14 Our first tournament of the year kicks off with our General Membership Meeting and breakfast prior to the tourney. Must have a valid handicap or five, recent 18-hole rounds (with scorecards) to establish temporary handicap to play. Format: Individual stroke-play, gross and net by division. Optional skins and deuce pot each division. Breakfast (included) at 7am; General Membership meeting at 8am; Shot-gun start at 9am. Entry: $15/player "TWO-MAN BEST-BALL" March 28 Grab your favorite partner and sign up for this very popular event. Maximum of 9-stroke handicap differential between partners. Format: Team gross and net by division. Optional team skins and deuce pot each division. Entry: $15/player "FOUR-MAN CHA-CHA-CHA" April 11 Great four-man tourney and we’ll match you up with other players to create a foursome. Format: Each member of the team plays his own ball throughout, but a 3-hole rotation exists for determining how many scores are used to create the team score. On the first hole (cha), the one low ball counts as the team score. On the second hole (cha-cha), the two low balls count as the team score. On the third hole (cha-cha-cha), the three low balls count as the team score. The rotation starts over on the fourth hole. Team gross and net by division. Entry: $15/player "SPRING FIELD DAY" April 25 MAJOR HIGHER PAYOUTS! Our first, big individual event of the year. Prizes for Low Gross and Low Net of the field winners!
Format: Individual stroke play, gross and net by division. Optional skins and deuce pot each division. Entry: $20/player "MAY MASTERS" May 9 MAJOR HIGHER PAYOUTS! One of the most prestigious tourneys at Lake Padden.
Format: Individual gross and net by division. Optional skins and deuce pot by division. Entry: $20/player "CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIER" June 6 HIGHER PAYOUTS! Two tourneys in one! There are winners for the qualifying tourney which seeds the top 16 gross and net players for the match play ladder. The Gross and Net Club Champions will win an additional $150 each plus a trophy!
Qualifier Format: Individual stroke play, gross and net by division. Optional skins and deuce pot each division. Match Play Format: Gross and Net match play. Specific rules to follow. Entry: $20/player "JUNE OPEN" June 20 MAJOR HIGHER PAYOUTS! The Men’s Club version of the US open. Course will be set up fair but challenging and will test your shot-making ability.
Format: Individual stroke play, gross and net by division. Optional skins and deuce pot each division. Entry: $20/player "TWO-MAN BEST-BALL CHAMPIONSHIP" July 11 & July 18 Our Best-Ball Championship features two tourneys—the qualifying event on July 11 and the finals on the following Saturday, July 18. There are prizes for both the qualifier tourney and the finals with an additional $150 and a trophy going to each of the Best Ball Champions. There is a 9-stroke maximum handicap differential between partners. 12 teams qualify for the net finals. Format: Team gross and net by division for qualifier. Team net for the finals. Optional team skins and deuce pot. Entry: $20/player each day "18 MULLIGANS" July 25 Our version of the popular One-Man Scramble. Each player gets one mulligan on each hole. Use ‘em or lose ‘em! No carry over on the mulligans. Mulligans must be declared immediately. No searching to see if shots are lost or unplayable. Format: Individual stroke-play, gross and net by division. Optional skins and deuce pot each division. Entry: $15/player "PRESIDENT’S CUP" August 8 MAJOR HIGHER PAYOUTS! This tourney honors our present and past Club Presidents. Trophies will be awarded for Low Net and Low Gross of field.
Format: Individual stroke-play, gross and net by division. Optional skins and deuce pot each division. Entry: $20/player "INDIVIDUAL STABLEFORD" August 22 Very popular tourney. You can blow up on a hole and still be in it! Format: Modified Stableford scoring will be 1 point for bogey, 2 points for par, 4 points for birdie, 6 points for eagle and 8 points for double-eagle. No points for double bogey or worse. Highest score wins. Individual gross and net by division. Optional skins and deuce pot. Entry: $15/player "SEPTEMBER OPEN" September 19 MAJOR HIGHER PAYOUTS! The final Major of the year. Another stroke play event while we have good weather.
Format: Gross and net winners by division. Optional skins and deuce pot. Entry: $20/player "TWO-MAN SCRAMBLE" October 3 Grab your favorite partner and sign up for this very popular event. Maximum of nine-stroke handicap differential between partners. Minimum of 6 drives/player. Format: Standard scramble format. Team gross and net by division. Entry: $15/player "THREE-RING CIRCUS" October 17 This has become one of our most popular team tourneys. Maximum 9 stroke handicap differential between team members. Format: Best-Ball (Holes 1-6), Scramble (Holes 7-12) and Chapman (Holes 13-18). Entry: $15/player "THE MEMORIAL TWO-MAN BEST-BALL" October 31 Final tournament of 2008. Breakfast, general membership meeting, trophy presentation and election of officers for 2010 prior to the tournament. A past member may be nominated as the 2009 Memorial Honoree. 9-stroke maximum handicap differential.
